Low Voltage Wiring Installer

Position Description
We are seeking a Low Voltage Wiring Installer to pull and route cables at customers’ facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Those that apply must have a knowledge of wiring techniques in retro and new construction environments. The ability to multitask while upholding the quality and integrity of work performed is essential. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work is on job sites throughout the U.S. and Canada
  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LANs, WANs, and data communications equipment
  • Install cable pathway systems including cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks and D-rings
  • Install, terminate, test, label, and document horizontal, backbone and other cables
  • Troubleshoot and document test results for cabling
  • Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture, and other work area outlets
  • Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms
  • Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • CAT5/CAT6 cable terminations and testing
  • Ability to work in tight, confined areas
  • Ability to climb ladders and/or carry heavy loads
  • Utilize OSHA required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Comply with OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends
  • All prospective employees must pass a background check, driving check, pre-employment drug test and be authorized to work in the United States
